Permanent Position (up to 1.0FTE)

Central Otago Health Services Limited is seeking a New Zealand Registered Occupational Therapist to join our Allied Health team based at Dunstan Hospital in Clyde. This is an exciting opportunity to work within a supportive multidisciplinary team while enjoying the unique lifestyle and professional opportunities that rural healthcare offers.

We are looking for a highly skilled and autonomous Occupational Therapist with a broad range of clinical knowledge and experience to meet the diverse needs of our Central Otago community. This role provides a varied and rewarding caseload across inpatient, outpatient, and community settings, working with people across the lifespan and supporting them to achieve their goals and maximise their independence.

The successful candidate will bring broad clinical experience, ideally across inpatient, community, and outpatient services, together with excellent communication, organisational, and interpersonal skills. You will be confident working with older people and individuals with neurological and palliative conditions and will demonstrate a strong commitment to client-centred practice. An ability to work independently, think creatively, and develop practical solutions is essential, as is a genuine passion for occupational therapy and the wider Allied Health team.

We are seeking someone who thrives in a rural interdisciplinary environment, values collaboration, and enjoys the variety that comes with rural practice. Experience in wheelchair and seating assessment would be highly desirable, while knowledge and experience in complex housing modifications would be advantageous.

At Dunstan Hospital, we are committed to supporting our people to grow and succeed. We take pride in fostering a supportive environment that encourages professional development, clinical excellence, and ongoing learning.

The salary for this position is $90,000 to $110,000 per annum, depending on skills and experience.
