Clyde: After-Hours Care

Dunstan Hospital uses a rural healthcare service called Ka Ora Telecare. This service is available overnight, weekends, and holidays to help with non-urgent medical concerns whilst your GP or rural hospital is closed.

  • Call 111 for life-threatening emergencies, like:

    • Chest pain

    • Trouble breathing

    • Heavy bleeding

  • Call Ka Ora Telecare if:

    • It is after-hours (weekdays 5pm –8:30am, weekends & holidays 24/7).

    • You are in a rural area.

    • You need medical advice or a non-urgent appointment.

    • Dunedin Public Hospital.

    • Lakes District Hospital in Frankton.

  • Fees for patients enrolled in a Central Otago GP practice:

    Adults:

    • $100 | 6 - 11pm

    • $180 | 11pm - 8am

    • $65 | ACC Co-Pay

    Children

    • Under 14 are free

    Additional fees apply for visitors

Wanaka: Overnight Acute Care Clinic

The Wanaka Overnight Acute Care Clinic is an urgent healthcare service that operates from 11 pm to 9 am, 7 days per week, from the Aspiring Care Facility. This service is operated by Dunstan Hospital. To access this service, please call Healthline.
