Central Otago Health Services Ltd has an exciting new opportunity for a Registered Nurse to join our team in the Chemotherapy & Infusion service at Dunstan Hospital. The role is 0.4 FTE and there are likely to be additional hours available on a casual basis to cover staff leave.
Dunstan Hospital is a rural trust hospital based in Clyde, Central Otago. We provide a wide range of healthcare services for a large geographical area, two and half hours from our base hospital in Dunedin.
The Chemotherapy/Infusion service delivers chemotherapy, immunotherapy, other infusions, blood transfusions and patient assessments for patients across the region.
The Unit is open Monday to Friday and the team of specialist Registered Nurses work closely with the Dunstan Hospital medical, nursing and allied health teams as well as our visiting Medical Oncologists and the Southern Blood and Cancer Service in Dunedin.
We are looking for a nurse who:
Has a current Annual Practising Certificate.
Has had recent nursing experience, ideally qualified to administer Chemotherapy.
Is self-motivated, positive, and enthusiastic both in service delivery and professional development.
Is a genuine and committed team player.
Is eligible to work in New Zealand.
